Since its inception, the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation has endeavored to enrich the community of Kalamazoo, Michigan through charitable giving.
Each year, the Foundation supports those organizations that help sustain the arts in our community. The Foundation has made major contributions to numerous cultural and performing arts organizations.
Human Services
Quality of life issues will always be an integral part of the Foundation's focus, and over the years it has responded generously in the area of human services.
Education and Youth Activities
Year after year, the Foundation is responsive to the critical needs of education and youth
in our community. Gifts to educational institutions, and those
facilities and programs that strive to enrich the lives of
area youth, remain an important part of the Foundation's grant-making
activities.
Community Development
Through charitable giving, the Foundation has endeavored to support those community development projects that strengthen Kalamazoo's social and economic well-being.
Health & Well-Being
The quality of life in our community depends, in part, on the quality of care available to its residents. The Foundation strongly supports this idea. From the beginning, it has been loyal in helping those area organizations that make Kalamazoo a healthier place to live.
